Groove Integration

Generate URL and embed code for your images and videos that are compatible with Groove and directly plug them into the Email builder on the Groove platform. 

For our demonstration, we will be creating a Groove Flow, which will launch an email based communication with contacts or leads within Salesforce. We will be sharing a personalised welcome message with Contacts within our Salesforce list.  

This personalised welcome message comprises a personalised image in an email that hyperlinks to a video landing page.

Let’s begin by creating a new campaign. If you are new to creating Nexweave campaigns, you can have a look out our campaign documentation here



Configure a new campaign



  1. Start by navigating to Campaigns and click on Create New Campaign.
  2. Set the Campaign Name and select the Campaign Type. You can read more about the available campaign types here. Since we aim to use both Image and Video templates as a part of our campaign, we selected the campaign type as Image + Video. However, you may choose either Image or Video campaigns, based on your preferences.

3. Next select the Image and Video templates you would like to employ for this campaign.

For our demonstration we have selected:

  1. Image template : Welcome Message - Play
  2. Video template : Welcome to the family
  3. Video thumbnail : Welcome Message 

4. Select your either default or custom landing page URL and click on Save and Proceed  to continue.

Now let’s proceed to setting up the activation method.



Setting the Activation Method



  1. Start by selecting the Activation Method from the drop down. Here, select URL Override Campaign.
  2. You will then be prompted to enter the Fallback values for the Nexweave variables being used in the selected templates. Click on Save to confirm the fallback values

Once you Save the Campaign, you can also Preview the Image and Video templates selected.

3. Click on Launch Campaign. This will then enable you to generate embed codes for the image and video.

4. Once you launch, click on Get Embed Code to open the modal and select the integration platform. Please note: If your audience lies within your Salesforce Leads, select Groove Leads as the integration platform. In our demonstration, since our desired audience lies within our Salesforce contacts (not leads), we have selected Groove Contacts as our integration platform.

5. Then map each of the Nexweave variables with the corresponding Groove Contacts variables by selecting them from the dropdown.

In case the variable list does not contain an appropriate match, you can also create your own variables from within the dropdown.

6. Click on Generate Embed code to get the email embed code compatible with the Groove platform

Let’s move to Groove to create a flow



Create a Groove Flow



  1. Start by logging into your Groove account
  2. Navigate to Flows from the Main Menu and click on the ‘+’ icon to create a new flow

3. Name your flow and give it a description. You can check the boxes for any other Flow settings you would like to enable. Definitions and details for these settings are available here.

Click on Save and Next to continue

4. Select the Step you would like to add to your flow. You can add multiple steps to your flow to be executed. In our demonstration, we have selected a single step - Send an Email

5. Next, select a Groove Template for your email from the dropdown. For our demonstration, we have chosen the option Do not use a template.

6. In the Email builder, enter the message you would like to share with your audience. To add personalisation to your message, click on the ‘{!..}’ icon and select the desired field from the dropdown.

7. To add the personalised Image to the email, click on the Email Menu (...), and select the < > icon to launch the HTML Code editor.

8. Copy the HTML Code obtained from the Nexweave Campaign and paste it into the editor.

Please note : You may not be able to see the image while editing the email, however the same will be reflected during the preview and when you share the email

9. After all your steps have been added, you will be prompted to Add People to your Flow

Please note: Everyone you add to a Flow must already be a contact or lead in Salesforce.

10. Click on Add People to proceed. You can also skip this to add people at a later stage

11. There are several methods available to add people to your flow, they have been detailed here.For our demonstration, we carried out the following:

12. Once your contacts are added, you will be directed to view the summary of your flow.

13. Clicking on Preview Flow will direct you to an overview of the flow.

14. Here, against the Email step, click on the Menu and select Execute All Active

15. You can preview and send the email individually to each recipient.

16. Or, click on Send All to launch your flow for all your recipients

Your personalised emails will be on their way to impress your audience!
